职位描述:
1.Contribute to the development of the Stakeholder Engagement Plan, its implementation and monitoring
2.Receive and help resolve grievances, rigorously following up and engaging relevant third parties including COSLU’s HR department to intervene in resolution of the grievances.
3.Work closely with COSLU project teams and subcontractors to ensure respect and good relations with communities and stakeholders
4.Help COSLU build awareness, knowledge and understanding of village and community demographics, priorities and concerns of different community groups.
5.Handle any land access and compensation related issues that may arise in relation to COSLU’s work and pass on such information to the social affairs department
Keep acquainted and follow up on any local concerns the stakeholders may have, mobilise for and organise regular public meetings in each community impacted by COSL activities; report weekly on community questions and perceptions about COSL activities, general community issues and information important to COSL, share general observations, conflict issues and/ or rumours
6.Ensure access to and maintain contacts with key formal and informal stakeholders (opinion leaders) in communities on a regular basis.
7.Pass on to COSL’s Head Office in Kampala through their supervisor, any correspondences addressed to COSL Management by TEPU, the stakeholders, and subsequently follow up on these to provide feedback to TEPU or the stakeholders.
8.Be present at any field visits by regulators such as PAU or MEMD, JV partners, government officials or any other communicated by the COSLU head office
9.Supervise (if any) COSLU’s contractors’ local recruitment procedures or fulfilment of national/community content requirements
10.Ensure compliance of the field activities with industry, national and international standards such as IFC standards and requirements regarding human rights, etc.
11.Support community meetings by preparing information packages, arranging venues, posting advertisements, and collecting feedback forms
任职要求:
1.Develop experience of dealing with rural communities in Uganda, especially those in the Albertine region. Knowledge of local language is an added advantage (Rugungu, Runyoro, Alur, Acholi).
2.Develop experience in community mobilization, education & dialogue, stakeholder engagement, and grievance management.
3.Excellent communication skills with ability to develop and maintain good relations with stakeholders including government authorities, local communities, industry, CSOs/NGOs and international organizations, negotiation, conflict management skills.
4.Good Computer skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office and appropriate software such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
5.Ability to write professional reports with analytical, narrative and comparative competencies.
6.Good interpersonal skills and experience working in teams
7.Have knowledge of community socio-economic and political matters; labour and working conditions; livelihood development, etc
8.Good negotiation and conflict management skills.
9.Ability to assist with formal consultation processes, by supporting meetings, taking meetings notes and organizing information
